JOIN US in this exciting professional development program that provides local educators with the inspiration, tools, and collaborative support needed to create deeply engaging and relevant K-16 curriculum. Participants will receive the training, inspiration, collaboration, and connections needed to create standards focused service-learning curriculum that is place based around neighborhoods in the greater Los Angeles area.

Our collective goal is to encourage both teachers and students to follow their own curiosity in discovering the a relationship to the LA River’s past and exploring its present, while becoming visionaries and advocates for the future.

LA RiverLore participants will use a focus on their own neighborhoods and the Los Angeles River’s ongoing transformation process to understand and promote a sustainable future that is ecologically thriving, artistically stimulating, inclusive, and socially just.
